data request on scroller expands

I have a lot of data in db but on start up I want to show only last 1 hour as a line chart and request additional data when user expands/move the scroller "to the past" (and also I need real time updates, but this easy part).

It is not a natural strategy for jqChart, but may be it is not so complex to develop?
Is it possible to setup scroller independently from data and handle its events?

I like jqChart a lot, it has great features, but may be for this case you can recommend me to use another real time data oriented component and do not go to complex development? What it could be?

Is it possible to configure data scroller on axeX to show not 100% of data on chart open but the fixed frame (e.g. 20% or last 1000 points in series) ?

You can use visibleMinimum and visibleMaximum options.
