Can we alter the position of the tool tip? The tool tip gets overlapped with the Y-axes values. Please help.

Currently jqChart doesn't support custom changing the position of the tooltip. In any cases the tooltip will overlap some part of the chart. For that it is hidden when the mouse left the chart.
