Hello,

I tried the jqChart in my XUL project, and there came up with two errors:

[JavaScript Error: "TypeError: window.G_vmlCanvasManager is undefined"]

[JavaScript Error: "TypeError: this.tooltip is undefined"]

I figured jqChart is using canvas, but XUL doesn't support canvas by default except that we can put in namespace to enable it somehow. So, does anyone have a good idea how to resolve this? I was also looking into excanvas.js, but it needs some tweaks for XUL. Thanks!

Unfortunately we're not familiar with XUL, but in any cases a Canvas (or VML with excanvas) is required, so jqChart can be rendered.

I see. Thanks, dragan. I was thinking about modifying the source codes, but it'd be patches everywhere and messy. I will figure out a workaround. Mozilla team has been thinking about adding canvas functionality in XUL, due to complaints from developers who turned their attention to Flex and others alike because of this shortcoming. So far, XUL still stick with SVG. Anyhow, thank you for the comment!

It seems we should consider rendering jqChart with SVG as well.

I think SVG is outdated and too complicated, and browsers implement SVG differently. It'd be a challenge.
