Hello!

We are evaluating jqChart. It seems very good so far, but I have a few questions:

Legend:
Is there a way to change the shape/size of the legend icons?
Is there a way to define the spacing of legend entries?

Axes:
When labels get too long, will you support automatic removal of every Nth label, -OR- automatic rotation to 45/90 degrees?

DateTime axes:
Currently one must declare series entries in chronological order, or else the line becomes strange. Does your roadmap include allowing Dates to be given in any order, but still be displayed chronologically?
Can one specify label _frequency_ such as "year" to get labels like "2006 2007 2008" ? Some interpretation of strftime formatting would be optimal.
Same as above, but for label _formatting_

Style:
Is there a way to declare an overall style for text and axis lines and such, instead of having to re-declare it in legend, legend title, axes, etc etc?

Positioning:
Is there a way to control the placement of, for example, a pie chart on a non-square canvas?

Watermark:
Does the jqchart watermark goes away in the paid version?

Thank you for your time!

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the great comments/suggestions.

Here are my answers:

- We’ll try implementing this in the next version.

- Currently the labels move in different rows. You can rotate the labels manually:
http://www.jqchart.com/samples/ChartAxes/AxisLabelsRotation
We’ll considering some adding setting, which change the automatic behavior, so the labels can get rotated automatically.

- jqChart supports labels formatting:
http://www.jqchart.com/documentation/userguide/default.aspx#&who=LabelsFormatting
The dates can be formatted as well (we need to improve the documentation). You can use format string like: "ddd mmm dd yyyy HH:MM:ss"

- Good suggestion. Again for the next version.

- The HTML5 Canvas is a square. Can you provide a bit move info about your thoughts?

- There is no watermark in the paid version.
